RONNIE & TESS

Below are some anecdotes on a few of OUR FUNNY, UNFORGETTABLE MOMENTS.

DID IT EVER OCCUR TO YOU...

THAT DURING ONE OF OUR FIRST DATES ---  I accidentally wore unmatched shoes? I always have this habit of keeping shoes in the car, underneath the drivers' seat ( because I would always sit behind the driver). I was not aware that when I went out of the car to enter Starbucks Malate I was wearing one flat black shoe on one foot and another heeled black shoe on the other...( Kaya naman pala parang natapilok ako when I stepped out of the car... hindi pala pantay suot kong shoes ... but one redeeming factor is at least they were both colored black).  I only noticed it when we were sitted inside  (we have not ordered yet at that time) ...  if I could only disappear   at that moment ... Whew !!!  But we still stayed to order and drink our frappucino ...  I am sure RONNIE was just trying hard not to laugh...

CAN you imagine RONNIE  playing PATINTERO??? Well, that was what  RONNIE did!!! Twice at that... and not just once. The first time was during Trizia's birthday party March 2005. We played patintero with Ian, MJ, and Trizias classmates. You should have seen how Trizias classmates laughed ... And the last time was only last December when we had our christmas party with the Adajar family at Tagaytay when we forced Tita Beth to join us. That was truly  funny.

And you should have seen us as as we played  PINOY GENIO (the game played in Eat Bulaga). The first time we played that was Christmas Eve with  our families... we really cried laughing ... and the next time was during our Christmas party in Tagaytay. You should have seen how Tito Rico laughed   hard especially when it was time for RONNIE to guess the word that was pasted on his forehead... WE ALL HAD A GREAT TIME LAUGHING!!! I guess we will always be kids at heart.

WOULD YOU BELIEVE?

THAT THERE WAS AN INSTANCE -- when Ronnie on his way to pick me up entered the wrong building? (He entered  KALAYAAN BUILDING which houses POI instead of SOLIDMILLS BUILDING, which is just right beside it). He even went to the extent of entering the elevator and going up the seventh floor. And still not noticing he made a mistake, he even went out of the elevator and lingered around; and afterwards wondered why the sudden change in the seventh floor lobby. It was only when he was looking for MEDSTAR (where I hold clinic), that he realized his mistake...I will never forget his face when he told me that ... I cannot help but really laugh. According to him, his attention was distracted after alighting from the cab because he was texting me that he has already arrived. (Ronnie is not a good texter and is not into texting.)

IF THERE IS A SAYING THAT GOES THAT UNFORESEEN EVENTS HAPPENS IN "THREES", then I hope and pray this never happens to me again. Have you ever tried walking, strolling, meeting with people, hopping from one place to another wearing two different shoes? WELL, I DID IT AGAIN!!! (FOR THE SECOND TIME- and its not even part of a dare or an initation process). Last  April 8, 2006, a Saturday, I started my day having my usual morning clinic at Medstar. Then Ronnie, Bianca and Trizia picked me up for our production meeting with the band. We passed by McDonalds drive-thru at Greenbelt for some drinks and sundae then rushed to Mandaluyong. We cannot afford to be late because our schedule was at 1pm. Upon reaching SYMPHS BAR, I decided to change to a much lower-heeled shoes, so I reached out for another pair of slip-ons, and wore them. For two hours we were meeting and discussing with Ms. I.G. but all through-out we were just sitted. After the consultation with the band, we decided to proceed to WALTERMART fronting Don Bosco to check on some invitations. We strolled after and tried to look around for some eyeglasses. Thereafter, we went to GLORIETTA then to SHOEMART MAKATI, then back to GLORIETTA where again we wandered some more. We had dinner at around 6:30pm at the FOODCOURT. While eating Ronnie noticed a band playing in front of Oakwood and since we were with two teens who were into bands; and they thought it was NYOY Volante who was playing, we decided we would check it out after eating. And so after dinner, while walking and and as were about to go down the elevator, i suddenly thought to myself how come i was already wearing my comfortable slip-ons and still my right sole seemed to be hurting. So i decided to just check on my right foot ... AND TO MY SURPRISE   ... AND HORROR   ... I WAS WEARING ONE BROWN SLIP-ON ON MY RIGHT, AND A BLACK SLIP-ON ON MY LEFT!!!!!! OH NO!!!   Nakakahiya ...  and to think I have been thru a lot of places wearing that. Ronnie, Bianca, and Trizia were really laughing hard and teasing me and they even tried to get pictures of my feet. They decided to still loiter around where the band were playing while I tried to hide my feet behind Ronnie's. So from then on, I removed all my shoes, slip-ons, slippers that were stored underneath the driver seat.

I REALLY DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS IT WITH MY FEET, THAT I ALWAYS END UP HAVING UNFORGETTABLE MOMENTS BECAUSE OF THEM. At around 6:50PM tonight (June 4, 2006, Sunday), the funniest and "most nakakahiya" incident happened to me ... And I don't know why everytime such a thing would happen, always- I am with RONNIE (buti na lang ...)

As early as 7AM, my Dad, my Mom and I were on our way to Batangas. First to Lipa to meet with Mrs. Evelyn Mejos ( the embroiderer from Lumban) and Janine Hernandez (the designer). We arrived in Janine's shop at 8:30AM. Unfortunately, Janine was not around because he suddenly had a call to service a bride for make-up in Tagaytay. So we ended up waiting for Mrs. Mejos. The meeting that was scheduled at 9AM, took place at 12:30noon because Mrs. Mejos arrived late. After hours of scrutinizing the embroidered panels of my soon to be gown (hopefully, it gets to be done and completed in time for July 22 ... coz until now it is still panels of embroidered cloth) and after some lengthy discussion, explanation, with matching illustration by Tita Melba,  we ended up asking Mrs. Mejos to change entirely the design of  the upper portion (entire blouse) of my gown. WHEW!!!! If they only knew the anxiety, fear, and  stress all this is bringing me because until this time  my gown is still to have form ...

But enough of that, at past 3PM we went to Alitagtag to attend a wake and left at 4PM. On the way back to Manila, I kept on looking at my watch because I told Ronnie that we will be hearing Mass. I asked Mommy to drop me off in Pasay. I arrived in Ronnie's place at 6:15PM. But since we were already late for the 6PM Mass, we decided to have dinner first. Daddy Regino and Mommy Miguela already had eaten dinner. Then at 6:50 PM we walked to church. (The Church of OUR LADY OF SORROWS is located only a few blocks from Ronnie's house.) While we were walking, I was telling Ronnie I miss him (coz it has been 3 days- two and a half to be exact- that we have not seen each other); then just as he was about to pull me close to him as we were about to cross the main road to the Church, I accidentally tripped on my right foot, and before I knew it ... I had nothing on my right foot ... And the worst part ... I saw my right sandals lying on the street with its strap totally gone ... GRABE!!!

This is the worst, the funniest and the most nakakahiya thing that ever happened to me. Now, you will ask - DID we still proceed to Church? Your guess is as good as mine ... Syempre naman po ... hindi muna. We ended up walking back to Ronnie's place. The next question is HOW. Ronnie wanted me to wear his shoes, ayoko naman ... so I ended up walking to their house wearing one sandal on my left foot and LITERALLY NAKED ON MY RIGHT FOOT ... Can you imagine that??? (AkO?- NEVER in my life!!!) While walking- RONNIE and I kept on laughing really hard. The only consolation was that at least it happened even before we can enter the Church. When we reached his house, we were still laughing hard. I ended up borrowing the red rubber slippers of Mommy Miguela and we walked back to Church. Moral lesson of the story: NOT TO SAY I miss you when you are about to cross the street ...
