RONNIE & TESS

THE WEDDING GOWN AS SEEN ON THE NET

I was actually the one who got the design of my wedding gown after months of surfing the internet. Right after seeing it, I immediately loved its design (the almost embroidered top and its trail).

THE REVISED STYLE

...But I was aware that I can never wear such a style for my wedding, because it was sexy and revealing (Shrine of Jesus has strict guidelines to follow as to the style of the weddding gowns that brides has to wear). So JANINE HERNANDEZ, the designer has to make some revisions as to the design of the gown. He added some sleeves. Though during my final fitting, he was still insisting on removing the sleeves and lowering the back ... but I vehemently said NO ... ako naman ang bride di ba?

THE EMBROIDERY

We decided on using pina cloth and the intricately designed embroidery was done by MRS. EVELYN MEJOS of Lumban, Laguna

MY WEDDING TRAIL

My detachable trail consisted of ___ feet of pina cloth. (It was really Ronnie who wanted that my trail be super long). The first time I saw it, I was really tongue-tied.

MY WEDDING GOWN

When I mentioned to my friends that I will be using pina for my wedding gown, most of them had negative things to say: that I might look old when I wear it since pina cloth is basically worn by ninangs on weddings. But after seeing my wedding gown, the only thing I can say is I am glad I followed the advice of Tita/Ninang Melba and Auntie Donna. I guess ... to all of you who have seen my gown you will all agree with me that it was simply a classic.

ME AND MY GOWN

During the preparation, Ms. Ella, Olive and Grace and Janine had to trim the edge of my petticoat because it was showing on my gown. It was not the gown nor the long trail that made it hard for me as I walked and marched, but it was my very long veil. If my trail was ____ feet, my veil was ____ feet long.
